Overview

In this role you drive the EICA design for water and wastewater projects, shaping cross- disciplinary delivery within a national engineering team. You will ensure compliance with technical, quality, safety, environmental and legislative standards while coordinating with stakeholders and suppliers. You’ll produce design deliverables, promote best practices, and foster SHEQ improvements. The role offers Hybrid working and exposure to AMP8-focused programmes, with mentoring and career development opportunities to advance your chartership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead EICA design for water and wastewater projects
  • Ensure compliance with technical, quality, safety, environmental and legislative standards
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, supply chain, and clients
  • Produce high-quality design deliverables (calculations, reports, drawings, construction-ready docs)
  • Promote standard design practices across projects
  • Contribute to SHEQ outcomes and continuous improvement
  • Provide mentoring and performance development to junior team members
  • Engage with commercial, programme and financial project matters

Key requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Chartered status with IET or similar
  • Proven experience delivering design and build solutions in water or process industry
  • Strong communication and coordination skills across disciplines and stakeholders
  • Experience with BIM-led design and tools (Revit, Plant 3D)
  • Working knowledge of British Standards and UK industry codes of practice
  • Familiarity with water industry client requirements (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence or ability to travel including remote sites
