Delivery Manager (Commercial Sector)

Overview

As a Delivery Manager at Kainos, you oversee that digital services and platforms meet client outcomes while upholding governance and quality. You will empower teams, nurture client relationships, and steer profitability and forecasting. The role combines delivery leadership with business development, aiming to win follow-on work and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities

• Ensure project plans align with critical success factors beyond traditional metrics
• Manage profitability targets and provide accurate forecasting and reporting
• Add value for clients, manage expectations, and address issues proactively
• Motivate and develop teams, set clear goals, and conduct regular feedback and appraisals
• Staff and onboard new team members, and maintain client relationships
• Establish and follow project governance and technical quality standards
• Identify and escalate project risks and issues appropriately
• Support Sales and Account teams to win profitable new business and promote successes
• Contribute to continuous improvement and align with capability thinking across Technology, Experience Design and Consulting
• Assist with recruitment to support organizational growth

Key requirements

• Minimum 2 years delivering technology-based projects using agile methods
• Experience leading project teams with line management responsibility
• Proven client-supplier relationship management and knowledge of at least one industry vertical
• Broad technology experience and awareness of current tech trends
• Experience with robust project governance and technical quality standards
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to communicate effectively with clients
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, adaptable and resilient
• Willingness to travel or work away from base
