Overview
As Fire Project Manager you will lead delivery of fire safety improvement works across Oxford City Council’s housing portfolio, coordinating FRA-driven actions, building safety reviews and related compliance programmes. You work closely with risk assessors, managers and contractors to translate safety actions into actionable delivery plans with clear governance and reporting. Your role supports compliance with the Building Safety Act and associated safety obligations, ensuring residents remain safe and works meet quality and safety standards. This is a delivery-focused, cross-functional position with a strong focus on proactive risk management and robust record-keeping.

Responsibilities
- Manage delivery of fire safety improvement works arising from Fire Risk Assessments (FRA), building safety reviews, inspections and audits.
- Act as the Council’s client-side lead for fire safety project delivery to ensure proper scoping, coordination, monitoring and completion of works.
- Collaborate with Fire Risk Assessors, Building Safety Managers, contractors, consultants and operational teams to translate actions into delivery programmes.
- Establish governance, reporting and evidence of completion for fire safety actions.
- Support compliance with Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and related landlord safety obligations.
Key requirements
- Strong experience in project delivery and contractor management.
- Fire safety-related works delivery experience.
