Overview
In this role you will act as a SME on employment law and HR compliance across the UK & Ireland, shaping practical policies and resources. You’ll partner with HR leadership to translate regulatory changes into governance frameworks and training. You will lead compliance initiatives, audits, and documentation while supporting BAU operations and strategic HR projects. This is a growth-facing position designed to elevate employment practices and the employee experience. You will work in a collaborative HR team to drive best practice and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on employment legislation and HR compliance across UK & Ireland
- Develop and maintain compliance frameworks, templates, and policy documentation
- Lead employment compliance initiatives and oversee internal HR audit controls
- Design and deliver compliance training for HR teams and stakeholders
- Support BAU operations while contributing to strategic HR projects and programmes
- Identify opportunities to strengthen employment practices and governance
- Collaborate with HR Client Services and leadership to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Support continuous improvement in processes and ways of working
Key requirements
- Significant experience in HR advisory, employee relations, and employment compliance
- Deep knowledge of UK and Ireland employment legislation
- Strong research and analytical skills to review complex information and provide clear recommendations
- Experience developing policies, compliance frameworks, and supporting documentation
- Ability to design and deliver training and guidance to HR teams and stakeholders
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management with the ability to influence
- Proactive mindset for identifying improvements and driving change
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Bachelor in Business, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent)
- Desirable: CIPD membership, experience supporting HR transformation or strategic change programmes
