Director of Cost Consultancy

Overview

You will establish and lead the Quantity Surveying function in Leeds, shaping a high-performance service within a growing real estate consultancy. In this role you will develop new client relationships, win work and coordinate cross-functional activity to scale the QS offering. You’ll work closely with senior Directors to identify opportunities, drive best practice, and mentor colleagues, while contributing to the Leeds office growth. This is a strategic, autonomous leadership position with funded development and a hybrid work setup.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the Quantity Surveying function in Leeds
• Develop new and existing client relationships through business development
• Collaborate with Senior Directors to identify and secure opportunities
• Coordinate BD, marketing, resourcing and knowledge sharing across the business
• Champion the QS service line and drive quality control
• Develop service line strategies, objectives and plans
• Identify opportunities for operational/process improvements
• Mentor colleagues and build a community of practice
• Contribute to the growth of the Leeds office

Key requirements

• MRICS or FRICS qualification
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
• Consultancy background
• Strong client-facing and relationship-building skills
• Proven business development ability
