Overview
In this role you will support a leading international law firm’s Corporate Tax team in Manchester, focusing on tax aspects of corporate and real estate transactions. You will work on cross-border, high-value matters across sectors such as M&A, private equity, and joint ventures, while developing your own client relationships. The role offers strong training, hybrid working, and clear progression within a busy, growth-oriented tax practice. You will collaborate with senior lawyers and contribute to business development to raise the team’s profile.

Responsibilities
- Advise on the tax aspects of corporate and real estate transactions (including M&A, private equity, joint ventures, investments)
- Support senior lawyers on complex, cross-border matters
- Develop and maintain your own client relationships
- Supervise and review the work of trainees
- Contribute to business development, marketing and profile-raising activities for the team
Key requirements
- Up to 4 years’ PQE, within a UK-based tax team
- Strong technical drafting skills
- Ability to translate complex legal analysis into practical commercial advice
- Confident, client-facing with strong interpersonal and business skills
- Ambitious and entrepreneurial with a genuine interest in business development
