Overview

In this role you lead the Product & Engineering organization for Coda and FP&A, spanning product, technology, and delivery. You’ll shape strategy, architecture, and roadmap while driving growth and platform modernisation. You’ll own the end-to-end product and engineering outcomes, and act as a bridge to commercial and customer-facing teams. Responsibilities

  • Own and align the Product & Engineering org for Coda & FP&A end-to-end (team, architecture, delivery, roadmap)
  • Define and execute long-term strategy translating business priorities into product/tech/investment plans
  • Set engineering direction for Java, C, TypeScript and engage in architecture decisions
  • Build multi-year tech roadmap balancing platform modernization with stability
  • Define product strategy and roadmap based on customer needs and market opportunities
  • Act as executive sponsor for key customer relationships and escalations, coordinating Sales, CS, Marketing, Finance
  • Lead portfolio investments balancing customer needs, innovation, and debt with clear senior-leader recommendations
  • Improve delivery speed while maintaining reliability for enterprise customers
  • Lead and grow teams, establish succession plans and scalable org structure
  • Define and champion an AI strategy for the department and its impact on product and engineering
  • Ensure operational excellence (uptime, security, performance, quality)
  • Establish metrics and rhythms (OKRs, sprint cadence, DORA) to run a high-performing org
  • Use data to inform priorities and report portfolio performance and risk
  • Represent the unit in executive discussions and with key customers on architecture and product topics

Key requirements

  • 10+ years in engineering leadership
  • 5+ years managing engineering managers or multiple teams
  • Hands-on experience with financial applications
  • Startup-fast speed and agility within a larger org
  • Strong fluency in Java, C, and TypeScript
  • Experience balancing technical debt with innovation
  • Hands-on experience applying AI to software engineering at team scale
  • Strong product instincts translating signals into a growth-focused roadmap
  • Customer-focused and able to engage with major accounts
  • Excellent communication across technical and business audiences
  • Visionary leadership capable of shaping organizational direction
  • Proven people leadership and ability to build scalable teams
