Overview

In this role you will lead analytics and modelling work within Deloitte’s BCM Specialist Modelling team for banking and capital markets clients. You will manage engagements, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed analytics into audit processes. The position offers exposure to diverse clients, advanced data tools, and opportunities to shape the analytics strategy within Audit & Assurance. This is a chance to influence risk insight and client decision‑making at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of Audit & Assurance clients and deliver analytics/modelling services (model testing, data analysis, quality reviews, reporting, visualisation)
  • Lead project management of engagements, supervise juniors, ensure deliverables and timelines, handle client interactions
  • Contribute to strategic direction with senior leadership and mentor the team
  • Act as subject matter expert on analytical tools (SQL, Python, Tableau, SAS, R, VBA) and guide teams in applying these tools
  • Collaborate with clients to provide analytics across trading and banking books
  • Integrate analytics into external audit approaches and client business processes
  • Develop and deliver new analytics tools for evolving regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to thought leadership and strategy in Audit & Assurance analytics
  • Foster inclusive teamwork and build long-term client relationships

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent
  • Experience in analytics/modelling within financial services (professional services or FTSE 350)
  • Proven experience leading multiple teams and managing senior stakeholders
  • Attention to detail with structured, well‑documented outputs (code, results, documentation)
  • Advanced Excel & SQL experience and proficiency in at least one other programming language/tool (Python/PySpark, VBA, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Knowledge of one or more financial asset classes (derivatives, loans, mortgages)
