Overview
As Director of Compensation & Benefits, you will establish and lead a new Centre of Excellence to shape Forterro’s reward function and growth agenda. You will drive a modern, compliant total rewards strategy across EMEA and APAC, linking pay and benefits to business goals. You’ll partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to implement EU Pay Transparency, governance, and market-aligned frameworks at scale. This role combines strategic direction with hands-on execution, including M&A integration and senior leadership compensation. You’ll be a trusted, data-driven partner shaping talent attraction, retention, and engagement across a fast-growing, global software organisation.
Responsibilities
- Establish and lead the Compensation & Benefits Centre of Excellence with governance and operating foundations
- Shape a scalable compensation and benefits strategy post-acquisition activity for consistency and transparency
- Develop strategic reward foundations: job architecture, pay structures, governance, and total rewards philosophy
- Lead EU Pay Transparency implementation to ensure fair, compliant reward across jurisdictions
- Provide strategic reward guidance to executives and functional leaders on competitiveness and affordability
- Manage global annual compensation cycles: merit, market adjustments, bonuses, promotions
- Collaborate with Talent & Growth to apply job architecture, benchmark, and maintain salary bands
- Develop and govern reward policies including gender pay, market reporting, transparency, and disclosures
- Design and govern global/ local employee benefit programs (pensions, insurance, wellbeing)
- Partner with Local & Functional Leaders to ensure competitive, compliant benefits
- Deliver reward analytics and strategic insights using market data and internal benchmarks
- Contribute to HRIS, workforce planning, and org design with aligned reward data
- Create dashboards and packs to monitor reward performance and inform decisions
- Provide data-driven support for business transformation and growth initiatives
Key requirements
- Director-level experience in Compensation & Benefits or related roles
- Experience in international, matrixed organisations (software/SaaS preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of EMEA & APAC compensation practices and laws
- Experience in a Centre of Excellence model and growth/Acquisition context
- Strong data analytics, market benchmarking, and salary banding capabilities
- Experience with HRIS platforms and reward analytics tools
- Excellent communication and stakeholder influence across geographies and functions
