Overview

In this role you contribute to Amazon’s European logistics infrastructure by assisting in design and value engineering of delivery stations and fulfillment centers. You work under senior guidance, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to track progress and maintain documentation. You’ll learn best practices for pre-construction and construction processes while supporting strategic design initiatives and global innovation efforts. This position offers travel across the EU/EMEA and opportunities to shape scalable, customer-centric facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design process within your project scope by reviewing technical documentation, providing feedback, and aiding quality assessments under senior guidance
  • Contribute to design and value engineering initiatives to enhance customer experience, sustainability, and cost efficiency
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with external stakeholders, escalating roadblocks and risks as needed
  • Compile, organize, and maintain project documentation and updates in a reportable format
  • Learn and apply best practices in pre-construction and construction processes using established playbooks and procedures

Key requirements

  • Experience as an Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, Development Manager, Owner’s Project Manager, or related Commercial Development/Construction role
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience in business analysis and roles requiring quantitative, analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences including senior leadership
  • English fluency at C1 level or above
  • Bachelor in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or equivalent field
  • Time management in dynamic environments
  • Interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to influence across all levels of an organization
  • Building Information Modeling (BIM) knowledge
  • Experience with refrigeration/temperature-controlled environments
  • MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
