Senior Estimator – Civils, Power, & Renewables

Overview

In this role, you will lead commercial activities within the Power division of a Civil Engineering & Utilities contractor. You’ll scope and price tenders for substations, energy storage, grid connections, and related works across civils, electrical, and mechanical disciplines. The position involves producing detailed handover documents and project take-offs, with a hybrid work setup and strong progression prospects. You will help shape bid strategies and value additions to win complex power projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial activities and bid processes for power-related projects
• Price selected trades from first principles
• Produce a detailed control document at handover to the delivery team
• Complete project take-offs to the required level of detail

Key requirements

• Estimating experience within Civil Engineering, Power, or Renewable Energy
• Experience with tenders in power/civil projects (substations, energy storage, grid connections, cabling, solar, EV charging)
• Ability to price from first principles
• Proficiency in producing detailed project handover/control documents
• Desirable: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
