Overview
You will join the Community Diagnostic Centre team on a secondment to lead day-to-day service delivery and staff development. You’ll support clinical activity delivery and the development of new pathways in line with national guidance, working with NHS England and ICB colleagues. As central contact alongside the Project and Delivery Implementation Manager, you’ll drive performance, quality and financial plans and deliver service improvements. This role combines people leadership with strategic service development in a collaborative NHS environment. You’ll help shape patient pathways and cross-system collaboration to deliver impactful outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Line manage secretarial and administrative staff within the department
- Ensure robust Individual Performance Review systems, development plans and Knowledge & Skills Framework outlines are in place for all team members
- Manage administrative and secretarial staff within speciality team in line with HR policies
- Support delivery of clinical activity and development of new pathways in line with national guidance
- Act as central point of contact alongside the Project and Delivery Implementation Manager
- Oversee day-to-day management of the service, including quality, performance and financial planning
- Implement service improvements and oversee rota management and resource allocation
Key requirements
- First Degree or demonstrated specialist knowledge through practical experience
- Managerial qualification or equivalent NHS experience
- Experience of clinical or administrative supervision/management
- Significant management experience in a hospital or primary care setting
- Rota management and resource allocation
