Financial Planner – Associate Director

Overview

In this role you will lead and expand the financial planning function across central London and Sutton, managing a portfolio of clients and building a local market presence. You will identify planning opportunities, provide high‑quality advice, and collaborate with the broader Forvis Mazars business to drive growth. You will balance client service with new-business development while maintaining technical excellence in personal tax and financial planning.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of financial planning clients and identify opportunities to pursue
• Provide appropriate financial planning advice to internal and externally referred clients
• Develop and execute a plan to win new clients in the local market
• Collaborate on the growth of the Milton Keynes business with the wider firm
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of personal tax and financial planning
• Comply with the Training and Competence Scheme of Forvis Mazars Financial Planning
• Support the local market presence and cross-office collaboration
• Strategically grow client relationships and service delivery in a hybrid working model

Key requirements

• Diploma (minimum) in finance or related field
• Strong financial planning experience
• Evidence of ability to generate new work from new clients externally
• Ability to proactively manage existing client relationships and develop new ones
• Clinical knowledge of personal tax and financial planning
