Overview

As a Senior Project Manager in Arup’s Programme & Project Management team in Leeds, you will lead delivery across major infrastructure and city-wide transformation programmes. You will represent Arup as the day-to-day project manager, steering project teams and maintaining high client satisfaction. You’ll shape delivery strategy, build long-lasting client relationships, and transfer knowledge to client teams to enable sustainable capability growth. This role offers impact at scale, supporting net-zero and urban regeneration initiatives within a collaborative, values-driven culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead management and oversight of all aspects of project and programme delivery
  • Represent Arup as day-to-day project manager on diverse projects
  • Support major project delivery and business development activities for infrastructure clients
  • Advise clients on project delivery strategy and lead project teams to high standards of client satisfaction
  • Manage complex built environment programmes across energy, water, and transport sectors
  • Foster knowledge transfer and capacity building with client teams
  • Engage with client programme boards and steering groups in politically complex environments
  • Utilise digital tools and systems to deliver complex programmes across PM disciplines

Key requirements

  • Proven track record in managing long-term client relationships
  • Experience leading complex built environment programmes across energy, water, transport
  • Ability to advise on project delivery strategy and lead multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience with knowledge transfer and capability building for client organizations
  • Comfort working in politically sensitive environments and engaging with boards/steering groups
  • Strong digital/tooling skills in programme management systems
