Overview
As Product Owner for SimCorp’s Portfolio Management capabilities, you own the vision and backlog for front‑office workflows used by portfolio managers. You translate real PM needs into actionable increments and lead 1–2 full‑stack scrum teams to deliver value sprint by sprint. You work closely with engineers and designers to shape workflows, data models, and interactions for real front‑office contexts. You validate priorities with usage data and client input, guiding coherent workflows across the portfolio and supporting demos and client discussions. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role that shapes how portfolio managers monitor, analyze risk, and execute decisions within a modern platform.

Responsibilities
- Own the product vision and backlog for Portfolio Management capabilities
- Translate portfolio manager needs into clear, actionable product increments
- Lead and prioritize the backlog for 1–2 full‑stack scrum teams
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to shape workflows and data models
- Develop deep understanding of PM workflows (monitoring, risk, scenarios, order workflows)
- Write precise product briefs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Leverage feedback and data to validate priorities and iterate quickly
- Coordinate with other Product Owners/Managers for coherent front‑office workflows
- Support demos and client discussions grounded in real PM use cases
- Advocate for the portfolio manager in product and design decisions
- Maintain strong ownership and deliver tangible impact as an IC
Key requirements
- 5+ years as Product Owner or Product Manager
- Experience building B2B or enterprise software for asset managers or front‑office users
- Strong understanding of Portfolio Management, PM construction, and decision‑making workflows
- Comfort with analytics, data, and financial concepts
- Proven ability to lead agile teams and deliver outcomes
- Clear written and verbal communication
