Overview

As Vice President of Cyber Security for the UK & Ireland, you act as a senior cyber advisor embedded in the region, partnering with business, tech, risk and compliance to align cyber priorities with regional needs and client commitments. You bring strong technical credibility across offensive security, risk and solution architecture to drive practical security improvements and resilience. You’ll translate risk into actionable decisions for senior stakeholders and lead or contribute to regional regulatory alignment and remediation efforts. Responsibilities

  • Act as regional orchestration lead for cross-functional cyber activities, ensuring priorities are understood, owned, and advanced to measurable outcomes
  • Provide senior cyber advisory and constructive challenge to business and technology teams to support regional objectives and entity requirements
  • Lead or contribute to regulatory alignment activities including impact assessments, evidence reviews, supervisory responses, readiness reviews, and remediation tracking
  • Prepare clear briefings, risk narratives, and executive updates for senior stakeholders and governance forums
  • Support client and external engagement with credible cyber posture and improvement activity communication
  • Review complex cyber issues and assist with solution design across vulnerability management, security architecture, and secure processes
  • Translate security insights into practical, risk-based remediation plans to reduce risk exposure
  • Drive cross-bank change by identifying recurring control weaknesses and opportunities to simplify governance, metrics, and accountability

  • Strong technical credibility across offensive security, risk, and security solution architecture
  • Hands-on technical candidate capable of communicating complex solutions to both engineers and business leaders
  • Technical cyber knowledge to engage engineers, architects, risk teams, and executives
  • Practical offensive security awareness including attack paths, weaknesses, and remediation
  • Security solution architecture knowledge across cloud, IAM, network, application security, endpoint, data protection, third-party, resilience
  • Sound judgement, ownership mindset, and balance of risk reduction with regulatory and operational practicality
  • Experience in senior roles in financial services or critical infrastructure (preferred)
  • Willingness to travel regionally and occasional after-hours support
