Overview

As part of a leading Cambridge VAT team, you will support senior leaders to deliver high‑quality technical VAT advice and drive continuous improvement. You will work with clients, HMRC and colleagues across the firm, helping to identify planning opportunities and contribute to proposals while upholding quality standards. The role blends client care, knowledge sharing and relationship building to support the firm’s strategic and commercial objectives. Responsibilities

• provide VAT advice to clients and colleagues across a broad range of matters
• support delivery of complex technical assignments
• identify planning and marketing opportunities for existing and prospective clients
• contribute to new client proposals
• uphold quality assurance standards and deliver excellent client care
• collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and resolve issues
• maintain team performance and support wider firm objectives

Key requirements

• ATT qualified or equivalent
• strong VAT experience in professional services or similar
• excellent technical knowledge and ability to explain complex matters clearly
• commercial awareness with an interest in business development
• strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments to deadlines
