Overview

In this role you will support the full investment lifecycle for a PE-backed renewable energy platform, balancing financial modelling, market analysis, and transaction execution. You will work closely with senior professionals, management teams, lenders, and advisors to evaluate opportunities and drive portfolio growth. The role combines hands-on financial work with market intelligence to inform decisions and value creation across solar, wind, storage, and related infrastructure. This is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment offering visibility from day one and meaningful impact on scale-up initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and execute renewable energy investments including acquisitions, JVs, and partnerships
  • Build and maintain financial models for greenfield developments, operating assets, and platform-level transactions
  • Conduct investment analysis: valuation, scenario and sensitivity analyses, return assessments
  • Prepare investment committee materials and board presentations
  • Support end-to-end transaction processes from origination to close
  • Perform market research across solar, wind, storage, hydrogen, and energy infrastructure; analyze regulatory and market dynamics
  • Coordinate due diligence (technical, commercial, financial, legal, tax) and review third-party reports
  • Manage data room and transaction documentation; collaborate with external advisors and lenders
  • Support portfolio monitoring, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting; contribute to value-creation initiatives

Key requirements

  • 1–3 years in: Investment Banking, Infrastructure/Renewable Energy Investment, Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, Project Finance, Big 4 deals advisory, Renewable energy development
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong commercial awareness of energy and infrastructure markets
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or a related discipline
  • Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent would be advantageous
