SupportWorker (Driver Essential) | £13.10 per hour + £50 sleepins

Shiftpattern:

8am – 10pm

As aLifeways Support Worker, you’ll do far more than providecare.

You’ll help people build confidence,maintain their independence, stay connected to the people whomatter to them and live the life they choose.

We’re looking for caring, reliable people who want to makea genuine difference. You don’t need previous care experience. Whatmatters most is your attitude, values and willingness to supportothers.

A full driving licence is essential forthis role, but not because you’ll spend your day driving fromappointment to appointment. Driving gives the people we supportopportunities.

It means helping someone visitfamily, get to college, attend a job interview, enjoy a day out,pursue a hobby, go shopping independently or simply spend time intheir local community.

Sometimes the smallestthings can have the biggest impact. Whether that’s somebodyordering a coffee independently for the first time, catching upwith friends, or building the confidence to try something new,you’ll play a part in making those moments happen.

 

Whatwill you be doing?

Notwo days are the same, but your role may include:

· Supporting people in their own homes and within theirlocal community

· Encouraging independence andhelping people achieve personal goals

·Supporting people to attend appointments, activities and daysout

· Building positive and meaningfulrelationships

· Helping people develop lifeskills and confidence

· Supporting people tomaintain relationships with family and friends

·Providing emotional support and encouragement

Alongside this, you may alsoprovide support with:

· Personal care

· Medication

· Meal preparation

· Householdtasks

· Budgeting and daily routines

Great support is about much more than personal care, butpersonal care may form part of the role depending on the needs ofthe people you support.

What You’llNeed

· A full UKdriving licence

· A caring, positive andrespectful attitude

· Good communication andinterpersonal skills

· A willingness to learnand develop

· No previous care experiencerequired, as full training will be provided
