Overview
As Project Manager — Healthcare you will lead day-to-day management of hospital design and delivery across the UK and internationally, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to meet scope, time, cost and quality. You’ll act as the primary client contact and drive project controls from feasibility to handover, supporting a portfolio that includes high-profile healthcare projects. This role blends hands-on delivery with stakeholder liaison in a design-led, collaborative environment rooted in Ramboll’s values. You will help advance sustainable, patient-centred healthcare solutions through effective governance and delivery.

Responsibilities
- Manage delivery of engineering advisory and design services across all project stages (feasibility to handover)
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and specialist sub-consultants (architects, QS, MEP, structural, public health, etc.)
- Maintain project controls: scope, programmes, contracts, change control, risk registers, budgets and QA procedures
- Arrange and lead design coordination meetings and technical reviews; prepare minutes, monthly reports and programme updates
- Ensure internal governance and client contractual requirements are followed
- Take day-to-day responsibility for project activities, including reporting, programme management and client presentations
- Support discipline leads with resource allocation and task coordination to achieve programme milestones
- Ensure coordinated, compliant and high-quality deliverables from project teams and sub-consultants
- Represent Ramboll to clients, contractors and stakeholders and help raise the profile of the UK Healthcare team
- Support bid teams and contribute to multidisciplinary proposals and tender responses
Key requirements
- Demonstrable experience managing multidisciplinary UK healthcare projects (new build or refurbishment)
- HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline
- MAPM qualification or working towards membership of a professional body
- Confident with digital design delivery (Revit/BIM 360) and coordinating BIM processes
- Strong project management skills including programme, change, risk and commercial process management
- Ability to analyse financial information and produce clear reports
- Excellent communicator with ability to translate complex technical requirements for teams and clients
- Self-starter with ability to work autonomously and manage stakeholders across geographic boundaries
