Senior Project Manager- HV Transmission

Overview

In this role you will lead HV transmission and distribution projects, ensuring successful delivery from initiation through handover. You will guide a multidisciplinary team, balance safety, time, cost and quality, and align outcomes with the business vision. You’ll work with stakeholders across complex projects, driving a safe, cost-effective delivery while maintaining strong reporting and governance. Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery for HV Substation projects
• Inspire and manage a multi-disciplinary team
• Ensure safety, time, cost, scope, quality and risk are controlled
• Manage design management activities and interface with tendering/design teams
• Prepare internal/external reports and liaise with stakeholders
• Implement scope, information and configuration management principles
• Conduct monthly project reviews with Scheme Sponsor
• Maintain health, safety and environmental standards on site
• Develop plans for team goals and development
• Foster high-performing teams and talent development

Key requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role on a Substation project
• Experience in a complex project environment with multiple stakeholders
• Ability to articulate and share the business vision with the team
• HND or Degree in Engineering or Management / Construction
• Experience in Design Management
• Experience on National Grid project types
• Proven track record of project delivery
• Good understanding of standard contract forms
• Proficient in commercial/project management communications
• Experience implementing safe systems of work
• Current driving license
