Overview

As Senior Project Manager, you will lead multi-disciplinary water projects from inception through commissioning, coordinating client-side delivery and cross-functional teams. You’ll steward governance, risk, safety and quality, while nurturing client relationships and supporting business development. This role combines technical project leadership with mentoring of junior staff to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes that protect communities and the environment. You’ll work within a collaborative, innovative Infrastructure Project Management team across the UK regions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of capital investment projects with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Provide client-side project management across option studies, development, tender support, NEC contract administration and on-site delivery
  • Mentor Project Managers, Graduates and Apprentices
  • Maintain governance, with clear roles/responsibilities aligned to practice
  • Manage client-facing aspects including H&S, risk, quality, schedule and contract management
  • Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery to client satisfaction
  • Manage subcontractors and remote resources while coordinating with cross-functional teams
  • Foster relationships with clients and internal stakeholders; support business development and bid submissions
  • Oversee project staffing and resource allocation to meet client and business needs

Key requirements

  • Infrastructure project management experience (water industry desirable)
  • Experience with NEC contracts (PSC and ECC; ECC Accredited)
  • Ability to work in integrated, multi-organisation teams
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Motivation and ability to build a strong professional network
  • Initiative and collaborative working style with senior leaders
  • Experience in client organisations or secondments
  • Strong IT skills and numeracy/written/verbal communication
  • Experience in bid submission and client relationship management
