About Garment Graphixs
Garment Graphixs Ltd is a long-established embroidery and print company based in Belfast. We have recently expanded into England with the opening of a new retail store, and demand for our embroidery services continues to grow.
As a result, we are looking for an Embroidery Machine Operator to join our production team and help us meet this increasing demand.
We are open to considering both full-time and part-time applicants for this role.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating our embroidery machinery and ensuring garments are prepared, embroidered and finished to a high standard.
Previous embroidery experience is essential, although training will be provided where required to help you develop your skills and become confident across the full embroidery process.
Key Responsibilities
You will be trained in, and responsible for, the following:
- Framing and hooping garments correctly
- Finding the centre and correct placement of the embroidery
- Threading and operating the embroidery machine
- Loading embroidery programmes/files onto the machine via USB
- Monitoring the embroidery process and ensuring high-quality results
- Troubleshooting minor machine issues
- Trimming completed garments
- Re-hanging or folding garments ready for the next stage of production
- Checking garments throughout the process for quality and accuracy
- Working closely with the Production Manager and Administration Team to schedule embroidery work
- Carrying out general warehouse and housekeeping duties
The role involves approximately 78 hours of embroidery machine work per day and requires you to be on your feet for the majority of the working day.
Paperwork & Order Checking
Attention to detail is extremely important in this role. You will be required to:
- Check order paperwork against embroidery production sheets
- Confirm garment sizes, colours, quantities and logo placement
- Ensure embroidery instructions match the customer order before production
- Transfer embroidery files from the computer to USB for use on the embroidery machine
- Communicate with the Production Manager and Administration Team regarding production requirements
