Overview

As a Delivery Consultant in AWS Professional Services, you will guide customers through designing, deploying, and modernizing applications on AWS, including GenAI-accelerated approaches. You’ll lead complex, secure, scalable architectures and migrations, acting as a trusted advisor on industry trends and technologies. You’ll work with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable architectural recommendations and manage risks across the project lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive customer success and cloud adoption at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex, secure AWS infrastructure tailored to customer needs
• Lead cloud migration strategies (6Rs) and complex migrations, including wave planning and migration tooling
• Conduct discovery sessions with stakeholders and translate requirements into architecture recommendations
• Provide technical guidance across teams to raise productivity and architectural quality
• Act as trusted advisor on industry trends and emerging technologies
• Help customers modernize legacy applications using patterns like .NET, Java, Spring Boot
• Decompose monoliths into microservices and serverless architectures (Lambda, ECS/EKS, Fargate, Step Functions, EventBridge)
• Modernize databases with RDS, Aurora, DMS and schema conversion tooling

Key requirements

• 5+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions
• 2+ years architecting/operating solutions on AWS with broad service proficiency (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, Migration Services)
• Experience leading architecture/design/modernization projects with AI and automation
• Experience using agentic coding tools (Kiro, Claude Code, Codex) to accelerate infrastructure automation and code generation
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (Java, C#/ASP.NET, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, Go, Ruby, Swift)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK) and CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Preferred: AWS Professional-Level Certification
• Demonstrated migration/modernization strategy development (6Rs) and hands-on modernization experience
• Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA)
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
