Overview
In this role you will operate as an MEP-focused Quantity Surveyor within a London consultancy, delivering specialist commercial guidance across the full project lifecycle. You will work with a team of MEP and cost management professionals on technically challenging projects for varied clients. Responsibilities
- MEP cost planning, estimating and benchmarking
- Procurement and tender management
- Preparing and reviewing tender documentation
- Tender analysis and contractor recommendations
- Managing valuations, variations and change
- Cost reporting and forecasting
- Supporting contract administration
- Final account negotiations
- Working closely with clients, design teams and contractors
- Providing commercial advice throughout project delivery
Key requirements
- Quantity Surveying experience within MEP/building services
- Experience in a construction consultancy, contractor or specialist MEP environment
- Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical packages
- Strong commercial and cost management skills
- Excellent communication and client-facing ability
- A relevant Quantity Surveying or construction-related qualification
- MRICS status or working towards chartership advantageous but not essential
