Diamond Search is recruiting on behalf of a dynamic, ambitious and established law firm for a Senior Associate to join its Employment team in London.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Employment Lawyer to take on a varied caseload, work directly with employer clients and contribute to the development of an established legal practice.

The role would suit a commercially minded employment lawyer who enjoys a combination of high-quality legal work, client contact, responsibility and business development.

The Role

You will advise employer clients across a broad range of employment law matters, managing your own work while working closely with Partners and other members of the legal team.

The position will involve both day-to-day employment advice and more complex matters, with the opportunity to develop trusted client relationships and become a key point of contact for clients.

About You

  • Strong post-qualification experience in Employment Law
  • Significant experience advising employers and businesses
  • Experience gained within a reputable regional, national or London law firm
  • Experience managing your own caseload and client relationships
  • Confidence dealing with complex employment matters
  • Strong legal drafting, analytical and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers
  • An interest in developing client relationships and generating new business
  • A commercial approach to legal advice and client service
  • An understanding of the financial and operational requirements of private practice

Required Qualifications

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
  • Current practising certificate
  • Strong experience in UK Employment Law
  • Completed a recognised legal training contract
  • Legal degree (2:1 or above) or non-law degree followed by GDL/LPC
