Overview
As Quantity Surveyor, you will manage commercial aspects of major wastewater and water‑treatment projects within a dedicated commercial team. You will work closely with design, construction and supply‑chain partners to keep costs in check and contract administration running smoothly. You’ll produce cost/value reporting and budgets while mentoring junior staff and strengthening stakeholder relationships. This role offers the chance to shape commercial outcomes on high‑impact infrastructure you client works on, within a respected organisation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quantity surveying duties across project and work‑package management.
- Collaborate with design, construction, and supply‑chain teams to manage and control project costs.
- Manage contract requirements, including issuing contractual notices and maintaining accurate project correspondence.
- Prepare and manage subcontract documentation, payment applications, and subcontractor performance.
- Produce detailed cost and value reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Mentor junior commercial staff and foster strong stakeholder relationships.
Key requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Experience within utilities, civil engineering, or MEICA environments (desirable)
- Knowledge of NEC contracts, especially NEC4 (advantageous)
- Chartered or working toward professional accreditation (preferred)
