Trainee Healthcare Support Workers – West Lothian React Care Team
Exciting opportunity is available to join the React Care Team within West Lothian St Johns. We have various Trainee Band 3 Full Time – Fixed Term (1 Year) positions available and we are looking for passionate, caring, motivated people to join our skilled nursing/rehab/palliative Care Team.
We offer the opportunity to work with our dedicated team within patients own homes supported by a highly skilled multidisciplinary team of therapist and nurses and impact positively on the lives of thousands of patients and their families within West Lothian.
Duties and Responsibilities
Within your duties you are expected to be able to delivery every aspect of personal care. To be able to differentiate between care, palliative and rehab patients and deliver care at the appropriate level of care to each group of patients. To recognises signs of deterioration and elevate this appropriately to the pertinent senior.
Shift patterns
Combination of early shifts 08:30-14:30hrs or 09:00-15:00hrs depending on finishing time the previous day and or late shifts 16:00-22:00hrs
Loan working is a major part of the job along with nighttime driving. Using a reliance safety device to protect loan working.
Please note, a driving license, and access to a car, is essential for this post.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected
