Managing Associate/Legal Director

Overview

In this strategic role you will lead the banking and finance work to grow a unified market practice. You will guide the existing team, leveraging relationships to expand lender-led opportunities and cross-referrals across real estate, corporate, and private wealth groups. You will help shape the practice direction, including expansion into Private Credit and Private Capital, while maintaining a strong institutional lender client base. This is a high-impact opportunity to influence how the firm delivers financing work and drives growth in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of banking and finance work within a growth-oriented practice
• Shape the practice to extend into Private Credit and Private Capital
• Leverage and expand institutional lender relationships
• Strengthen cross-referrals with real estate, corporate, and private wealth teams
• Collaborate with a supportive team to create a unified market practice

Key requirements

• 5+ years PQE in Banking & Finance
• Strong connections with existing banking clients and corporate borrowers
• Proven ability to deliver profitable institutional lender work
• Extensive relationships across banking markets
• Ideally established connections with private credit funds and alternative lenders
• Exposure to ESG/sustainable/green finance
