Overview
In this role you step into classrooms to keep learning on track when teachers are absent, creating a positive learning environment and supporting students. You will supervise lessons, encourage task completion, and help maintain calm, focused classrooms while upholding safeguarding procedures. Responsibilities
- Supervise lessons using work set by the teacher
- Encourage students to complete tasks to the best of their ability
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a calm, focused environment
- Support pupils and help de-escalate situations when needed
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
- Collect completed work and return it to the appropriate teacher
- Report safeguarding concerns through the school’s procedures
