Senior AI Security Architect Consultant

Overview

In this role you will design and govern secure AI/ML systems across the enterprise, embedding security, privacy and trust from data ingestion to deployment and monitoring. You will work with cross-functional teams to build secure-by-design AI solutions and manage risks related to adversarial threats and data leakage. The position offers impact through defining governance, risk controls, and secure ML lifecycles at scale, with a focus on responsible AI and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the AI security architecture roadmap aligned to enterprise security strategy
• Develop secure-by-design frameworks for AI/ML pipelines (data ingestion, training, inference, deployment)
• Establish AI trust, risk, and compliance controls (explainability, fairness, robustness)
• Conduct threat modelling for AI systems and implement mitigation strategies
• Integrate security into ML pipelines (MLSecOps), including CI/CD and MLOps
• Define data handling, lineage, model versioning and integrity controls; manage access and secrets
• Embed automated security testing into model development pipelines
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR, HIPAA where applicable) and apply privacy-preserving techniques
• Design safeguards for LLMs and generative AI, API/model endpoint security, monitoring and guardrails
• Establish AI security standards and assist audits aligned to NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 27001, 23894
• Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, DevOps and security teams; provide security design reviews
• Define monitoring for drift, anomalies, misuse detection; develop incident response playbooks and lead investigations

Key requirements

• 20+ years in cybersecurity
• ≥3 years in AI/ML security or data security
• Proven experience designing secure architectures for AI/ML systems
• Knowledge of TensorFlow, PyTorch etc.
• Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and AI services
• Identity & access management, encryption, and network security
• Experience in threat modeling and risk assessment methodologies
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field
