As Broking Director, you will lead a world-class broking function to design and manage Liberty Global’s global insurance programme. You will work with internal stakeholders, clients, and insurers to secure cost-effective coverage while ensuring regulatory compliance across regions. You will shape market strategy, develop senior relationships with underwriters, and foster a high-performing team in a fast-growing, tech-enabled brokerage environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the broking team across renewals, placements, and client servicing
- Provide technical oversight on complex placements and negotiations
- Develop junior brokers and build a high-performing function aligned with strategy
- Drive evolution from traditional broking to a tech-enabled platform with embedded programmes and ARS
- Represent Blume Insurance with insurers, reinsurers, and Lloyd’s syndicates
- Oversee global insurance strategy, placement, and renewals for multiple policy lines
- Oversee risk management practices and mitigation across global operations
- Maintain strong relationships with global clients and insurers; lead policy negotiations
- Manage captive and alternative risk transfer structures and drive program participation
- Ensure compliance with international regulations and internal governance during all activities
- Oversee claims processes and cost-reduction opportunities
- Lead stakeholder engagement and provide programme updates to senior leadership
- Support training and development across regional teams
Key requirements
- ACII, CPCU, ARM preferred
- experience in corporate insurance, risk management, or brokerage
- proven track record placing large and complex multinational insurance programmes
- strong London market and Lloyd’s experience with established underwriter relationships
- global market knowledge and regulatory awareness
- exposure to captive structures or ARS is highly desirable
- excellent negotiation and stakeholder management
- strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- high attention to detail and organisational skills
- London market and Lloyd’s market experience
- multinational programme structuring (master policies + local placements)
