Overview

As part of Deloitte’s Data Risk Management within QRS, you advise on data risk tied to technology, privacy, and confidentiality. You will support the adoption of new tech with risk-based guidance across delivery teams and governance processes. The role collaborates with multiple functions to ensure compliant, responsible innovation. You help scale risk processes and share best practices across geographies, making data risk a core enabler of Deloitte’s technology strategy.

Responsibilities

• Assess and implement technologies within the firm’s Technology Operating Model and risk governance
• Review technology assessments from Global Technology Organisation for UK implementation
• Advise on privacy and confidentiality risks at design phase of tech deployments
• Manage a portfolio of assessments and consultations with cross-functional teams to deliver data risk advice
• Respond to data risk queries from engineering, product development and risk professionals
• Develop and maintain FAQs, playbooks, templates, and processes to improve quality and scalability
• Collaborate across geographies to share best practices and drive common standards

Key requirements

• Demonstrable experience with technology infrastructure and AI-related risks
• Ability to provide pragmatic, risk-based advice to technology and business teams
• Experience with risk management, governance, and assurance frameworks in professional services or tech environments
• Understanding of data risk concepts (data protection, confidentiality, data management) and risk assessments in complex data environments
• Ability to distill complex tech concepts into clear language
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
• Strategic mindset with ability to prioritise multiple priorities
