Overview
As Building Services Electrical Engineer, you will help sustain engineering processes across current and future projects in London, working within BAM’s Construction Segment. You will collaborate with M&E design teams and interfaces to ensure specification compliance, buildability, and safety standards. You will assess equipment and sub-contractor submissions and oversee coordinated installation drawings to support delivery and maintenance. This role offers exposure to sustainable infrastructure, cross-functional teamwork, and development opportunities within a leading European builder.

Responsibilities
- Tender engineering, design review and buildability studies
- Project engineering and management of M&E design teams interfaces
- Technical reviews of design requirements and certification schemes (eg BREEAM, WELL)
- Technical evaluation of manufacturers’ equipment submissions
- Technical evaluation of sub-contractors’ tender offers and QA, programme and logistics
- Production of coordinated installation drawings for compliance, buildability, operation and H&S (CDM)
Key requirements
- Engineering degree or equivalent or relevant construction experience (paraphrased)
- Experience in building services within the construction industry
- Good knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and coordination requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work both as a team member and as a small team lead
- Good time management and workload handling
- Proficiency in Excel and Word; willingness to learn other IT software
- Previous management experience would be beneficial
