Overview

In this role you drive strategic procurement and contract advisory for large public and private sector programmes. You will lead a highly skilled Contract Services team, shaping end-to-end procurement on flagship projects and expanding innovative service offerings. You work closely with clients to deliver best-practice procurement outcomes and support business growth. Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist procurement strategy advice to Public and Private sector clients
  • Lead and manage end-to-end procurement services on major projects or programmes
  • Lead and support the development of the procurement services offered by Turner & Townsend
  • Lead and develop a team to achieve successful client outcomes
  • Manage client relationships and related commission outputs and deliverables
  • Lead and support business development and marketing of the Contract Services team’s service proposition
  • Lead on bid preparation and proposal documentation and support the work-winning capability of the contract services division
  • Support delivery of team and wider business targets

Key requirements

  • Experience in regulated procurement, particularly Public Contract Regulations 2015
  • Leading strategic major procurement projects or programmes for public and private sector clients
  • Strong background in tender preparation, development and negotiation
  • Commission, client relationship, and people management experience
  • Experience with NEC and JCT forms of contract
  • Cross-sector public procurement background desirable
  • MCIPs accreditation (working towards or willing to achieve)
  • Business development and bid development experience
  • Degree related to construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law or procurement (preferred)
  • Defence, Utilities, Infrastructure sectors experience (preferred)
  • SC security clearance (current or can be reinstated)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and manage stakeholders
