Senior Procurement Consultant

Overview

In this role you will provide specialist procurement strategy and end-to-end procurement services for major public and private sector programmes. You will join a growing Contract Services team that partners with blue-chip clients to deliver sustainable procurement and contract excellence. You will help shape procurement approaches for flagship projects and contribute to business development and targeted outcomes. Responsibilities

• Provide specialist procurement strategy advice to public and private sector clients
• Lead and collaborate with a team on end-to-end procurement services for major projects or programmes
• Support development of the Contract Services offering and capability
• Assist business development and marketing of the team’s service proposition
• Support delivery of team and broader business targets
• Assist bid preparation and proposal documentation to strengthen work-winning capabilities

Key requirements

• Experience leading or supporting projects in strategic procurement
• Strong tender preparation and documentation development experience
• Experience in supplier engagement from market engagement to contract award
• Cross-sector experience with Public/Utilities Contract Regulations or equivalent
• Experience using standard form contracts such as NEC and JCT; negotiation and award
• MCIPs accreditation achieved or actively pursued
• Degree related to construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law or procurement (preferred)
• Security Clearance (SC) current or restorable (preferred)

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
• Strong understanding of commercial principles and modelling
• Ability to deliver strategy and/or documentation in capital projects
• Procurement strategy development within projects/programmes
• Tender and contract documentation development
• Supplier engagement and market analysis
