Finance Manager

Overview

As Finance Manager you will support a fast-growing FinTech in the City of London, acting as a bridge between the transactional finance team and the Financial Controller. You will oversee day-to-day finance operations, strengthen controls, and drive process improvements and automation to boost efficiency. The role offers hands-on exposure to month-end reporting, cash flow management, and balance sheet reconciliations within a scaling business. You will work closely with senior finance leaders and guide junior colleagues, contributing to the wider finance agenda.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance operations and transactional activities
• Manage month-end processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
• Maintain and improve financial controls across the business
• Support process improvements and automation initiatives to drive efficiency
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow management
• Collaborate with the Financial Controller to support the wider finance agenda
• Act as a key point of contact within the finance function and mentor junior team members
• Support ad hoc projects as the business grows and evolves

Key requirements

• AC A, ACCA or CIMA qualification
• At least 1-year PQE in accounts preparation or industry
• Experience in SME environment or Financial Services/FinTech
• Strong communication skills and ability to build cross-functional relationships
