Overview

As Event Marketing Manager, you will lead the marketing for ICIS events, shaping campaigns that boost audience engagement, delegate sign-ups and sponsorships while driving commercial results. You’ll align campaigns with business goals by collaborating with Events, Sales, Content and Customer Success, ensuring messages resonate with target audiences. You’ll translate market insights into compelling event propositions and manage end-to-end campaigns across multiple channels. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. You’ll help scale our events and contribute to a customer-centric growth agenda.

Responsibilities

  • Develop commercially focused marketing strategies for a portfolio of events aligned to revenue targets and business priorities
  • Own integrated marketing campaigns from planning and proposition development through execution, reporting and optimisation
  • Define target audiences, campaign objectives, channel plans and success measures for each event
  • Translate customer insight, market developments and event propositions into clear, targeted messaging
  • Deliver high-quality campaign activity across email, web, social, content, partnerships and sales enablement
  • Partner with Sales to support delegate acquisition, sponsorship lead generation, strategic account engagement and revenue performance
  • Collaborate with Content, Editorial, Product, Analytics and Operations teams to strengthen event propositions and improve campaign effectiveness
  • Monitor campaign performance and commercial outcomes, using insight to optimise activity and inform future event strategies

Key requirements

  • Proven B2B marketing experience, ideally in events, conferences, media, information services or another commercially focused environment
  • Experience planning and delivering integrated campaigns that support revenue, delegate acquisition, lead generation and customer engagement goals
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines and stakeholders
  • Good understanding of audience segmentation, campaign targeting and data-led acquisition
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to create clear, customer-focused campaign messaging
  • Confident using campaign performance, customer insight and commercial data to optimise marketing activity
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across Sales, Content, Product and Operations teams
