Overview

In this role, you will lead Investment Accounting within the Wealth & Insurance Finance team, overseeing data and climate reporting for a large investment portfolio. You will drive process improvements, automation, and use modern analytics to deliver accurate statutory and regulatory reporting under IFRS, Solvency II/UK, and TCFD. You’ll manage a team, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and shape data-driven reporting to support business decisions and governance. This is a chance to influence reporting quality and operational efficiency in a large financial services group.

Responsibilities

  • Managing multiple direct reports and supporting their career development
  • Deeply understanding internal and external data requirements and embedding them in processes
  • Leading process advancements, automation efforts, and digital initiatives (Power Platform)
  • Delivering change initiatives alongside core reporting responsibilities
  • Producing accurate statutory and regulatory reports for the investment portfolio
  • Leading climate reporting production on an annual basis
  • Analyzing large datasets, identifying issues, and coordinating with stakeholders to resolve them
  • Building strong relationships with internal teams, external service providers, and finance colleagues
  • Driving automation and simplification of reporting procedures to boost outputs
  • Providing insightful analysis on financial performance and key drivers
  • Supporting system and process upgrades and change initiatives

Key requirements

  • Qualified finance professional or relevant experience in financial reporting
  • Experience in investment reporting and understanding of W&I data attributes
  • Willingness to learn or experience with the PCAF framework for GHG emissions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage priorities
  • Ability to transform financial data into clear insights
  • Proactive, collaborative, and able to take ownership of work
  • Interest in refining processes and automation
  • Experience or willingness to build skills with Excel and Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate)
