Overview
As an EPMS/PMS Lead for our Data Centre MEP team, you will drive design and contractor implementation of electrical monitoring and control systems across data centres. You’ll work with cross-disciplinary engineers and clients to meet performance, regulatory, and sustainability goals. You’ll oversee feasibility studies, specifications, tender management, and testing, delivering clear reports and training. This role offers shaping mission-critical infrastructures with a global client base, in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead design and oversee EPMS/PMS implementation across architectures to meet client, regulatory, and sustainability requirements
- Engage with diverse stakeholders (clients, architects, M&E teams, contractors, senior management) and provide expert guidance
- Manage complex projects from feasibility to delivery, including specifications, tender management, cost analysis, and progress reporting
- Conduct system surveys, assessments, FAT/SAT testing, and deliver actionable reports and client training
- Mentor the EPMS/PMS team, drive knowledge sharing and innovation in smart building technologies
- Promote SH&E best practices and ensure compliance across projects
- Coordinate integration of electrical, mechanical, and control systems using open communication standards
- Travel occasionally to project sites and offices, with flexible hybrid working arrangements
- Obtain necessary security clearance and maintain readiness for site supervision and inspections
Key requirements
- Degree qualified in electrical engineering (or relevant post-qualification experience)
- Member of IET or CIBSE
- CEng accredited or working towards it
- Proven track record delivering EPMS and controls designs across various architectures and project sizes
- Team player capable of delivering electrical designs with other building services and wider disciplines
- Post-graduate experience in building services design with focus on data centres
- Forward-thinking, client liaison, and contractor coordination skills
- Familiar with regulations, standards, RIBA stages, and able to supervise sites and prepare feasibility reports
- Excellent communication and leadership skills for senior stakeholders
- Full clean driving licence and passport; ability to travel regionally and internationally
