Overview

In this role, you will act as a strategic partner within MUFG’s Compliance Division in London to shape resource planning, operating models, and cross-functional collaboration across EMEA. You will influence both Core Compliance and the Global Financial Crimes Office, driving efficiency while upholding regulatory standards. You’ll lead internal communications, planning processes, and risk-aware initiatives, contributing to a culture of integrity and professional development. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for resource planning and budget allocation across the Compliance Division.
  • Partner with business heads to align functional strategies with regulatory and organizational objectives.
  • Develop and track robust business plans, coordinating medium- and long-term staffing strategies.
  • Contribute to the EMEA leadership team, fostering cross-functional collaboration and operational effectiveness.
  • Design target operating models to maximise efficiency within approved budgets.
  • Provide accurate management information on resource planning by partnering with Finance and HR.
  • Collaborate with Finance for budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring; support invoicing with Procurement as needed.
  • Develop and execute internal communications strategies, including town halls and intranet maintenance.
  • Oversee offsite events, social committees, and workspace strategy; lead return-to-office initiatives.
  • Support Head of Planning in head office reporting; oversee business continuity and risk identification within Business Management.

Key requirements

  • Experience in financial services or regulated environments with emphasis on precision and accountability.
  • Proven budget oversight and resource management across complex structures.
  • Experience in global matrix organisations and building consensus among diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities to support long-term goals.
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage large workloads under tight deadlines; dependable under pressure.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • University degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in compliance or financial crime prevention is advantageous but not mandatory.
