Overview
In this leadership role, you will run the growing enterprise account management team in London, guiding B2B2C relationships with large salary sacrifice clients. You will drive retention, growth, and successful launches by shaping strategy, processes, and senior-level partnerships. You’ll build a scalable playbook, coach a team of eight account managers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable value. Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to a team of account managers to meet performance goals and deliver exceptional experiences
- Coach and develop team members and implement skills development frameworks
- Institutionalise enterprise account management practices: joint account planning, stakeholder mapping, multi-contact relationships
- Identify and unlock expansion opportunities to drive portfolio growth
- Oversee commercial risk, negotiate complex deals, and optimise retention strategies
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders in key accounts and act as escalation point
- Develop a long-term plan for the team and customer portfolio aligned with company goals
- Create a scalable playbook to demonstrably deliver value to customers and Octopus EV
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitive offerings
- Monitor KPIs and produce reports for senior leadership
- Analyze feedback to iterate the team’s playbook and drive continuous improvement
- Advocate for customers internally, integrating feedback into product and service enhancements
Key requirements
- 7+ years of commercial, customer-facing experience with high-value enterprise clients
- Experience leading a high-performing account management team
- Deep experience with classic account management disciplines and multi-year strategy
- Strong commercial acumen with contract negotiations and risk mitigation
- Excellent coaching and influencing skills for senior relationships under pressure
- Startup mindset with ability to navigate fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Knowledge of employee benefits or salary sacrifice is advantageous
- Prior automotive/EV leasing experience not required
