Overview
In this role you shape cost management for high‑profile data centre projects, working with clients and across project teams to deliver cost-effective, specification‑compliant outcomes. You will lead contracts, engage stakeholders, and mentor junior staff while driving master planning, feasibility, and benchmarking activities. This is a chance to influence procurement strategies and bid quality on technically complex programmes. You’ll be part of a collaborative, client‑facing team delivering value and innovation across the build environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead work with clients to ensure cost and specification compliance
- Manage contracts including FIDIC and NEC suites
- Engage stakeholders across the portfolio
- Oversee Contractor and Subcontractor accounts
- Lead and support projects through RIBA stages
- Mentor junior team members
- Own master planning and feasibility studies
- Lead on estimating, benchmarking and market intelligence to maintain baselines
Key requirements
- End-to-end project experience in the Data Centre sector
- Experience with FIDIC and NEC forms of contract
- Cost estimating and cost planning techniques
- Knowledge of construction procurement strategies, tendering and contract strategies
- Understanding of legislation impacting building contracts
- Ability to motivate and lead high-performance teams
- Strong oral and written communication
- Methodical problem solving and numerical skills
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to prepare high‑quality bids and negotiate fees
