Overview
In this role you join the Central PMO Project Controls team to drive cost governance, forecasting and reporting across a multi-billion-pound infrastructure programme. You’ll partner with the Cost Lead and senior stakeholders to provide strategic insight and support informed decision-making. You will enhance the Cost Management Framework, deliver robust reporting, and mentor junior staff within a cross-functional, high-impact environment. This is a hybrid London-based opportunity with one of the UK’s largest infrastructure programmes.

Responsibilities
- Support and improve the Cost Management Framework
- Provide governance and assurance across cost reporting and forecasting
- Review project performance, forecasts and earned value data
- Produce high-quality reports and management information
- Collaborate with Planning, Risk and Change teams to deliver integrated project controls
- Identify trends, challenge performance and drive continuous improvement
- Support the development of digital reporting tools and mentor junior team members
Key requirements
- Senior Cost Manager, Cost Lead or Project Controls Manager experience on major infrastructure or capital projects
- strong knowledge of cost control, forecasting and financial reporting
- experience in project controls and programme governance
- stakeholder management and presenting to senior leadership
- Earned Value Management and NEC contracts (desirable)
- Power BI or similar reporting tools (advantageous)
