Responsibilities
- Provide specialist pharmaceutical support for cancer and aseptic services
- Clinically screen and verify chemotherapy and other specialist treatments
- Support safe and efficient delivery of SACT and CIVAS services
- Deliver high-quality clinical pharmacy services to wards and departments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes
- Assist medicines optimisation, formulary management and evidence-based prescribing
- Participate in service development, audit, research and quality improvement
- Provide education, training and mentorship to pharmacists, technicians and students
- Develop and utilise independent prescribing skills where appropriate
Key requirements
- Masters degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent
- Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Completion of or expectation to complete a post-graduate Clinical Pharmacy Diploma
- Previous experience post registration
- Broad clinical pharmacy experience and knowledge of therapeutics
- Experience working in Aseptic Services
- Commitment to professional updating and formal CPD
- UK registration and eligibility for DBS check as required
