Overview
In this role you will design, deliver and support technology-enabled processes within a mid-sized UK law firm, accelerating its transformation with a focus on automation and AI-enabled workflows. You will translate legal needs into practical solutions and drive adoption across legal and business teams. You will lead tool rollouts, training, and communities of practice, while partnering with leadership to prioritise innovations and measure ROI. This hands-on position offers high ownership in a small Technology & Data team and opportunities to shape how work is delivered.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver tech-enabled processes for priority practice areas with emphasis on automation
- Identify, prioritise and deliver innovation initiatives with firm leadership
- Gather requirements from legal teams and translate into practical solutions
- Co-design and build internal and client-facing processes using existing technology stack
- Support rollout of new tools including trials, vendor selection, deployment planning and adoption tracking
- Develop business cases and ROI frameworks for prioritising projects
- Build and lead communities of practice across legal teams
- Design and deliver training on legal tech and generative AI in collaboration with Learning & Development
- Provide hands-on tool and workflow support to lawyers
- Monitor legal AI developments and identify opportunities for experimentation
- Communicate progress and promote new ways of working across the firm
Key requirements
- Experience delivering innovation or technology projects and supporting change management
- Experience in a legal environment (law firm, in-house legal team, or legal tech company)
- Hands-on experience with generative AI tools and dedicated legal technology platforms
- Project management experience and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to translate technical capabilities for lawyers
- Pragmatic, hands-on approach and comfort with ambiguity
- Collaborative mindset with a service orientation across legal and business teams
