Overview

In this role you will lead the delivery of mechanical and electrical installation works on water infrastructure projects, ensuring safe, on-schedule and within-budget outcomes. You will collaborate with civil, design and commercial teams to coordinate multi-discipline delivery and manage client relationships across long-term framework programs. The position offers impact through shaping installation strategies and driving efficient handover of projects. This is a technically demanding role in a supportive, cross-functional environment that values delivery excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver M&E works on water infrastructure projects
  • Lead projects from planning through installation and commissioning
  • Coordinate M&E subcontractors, suppliers and specialist teams
  • Ensure safety, schedule and budget adherence
  • Develop installation strategies and delivery plans
  • Coordinate with civil/engineering teams for integration
  • Monitor programme performance and implement corrective actions
  • Manage project risks, design coordination and technical challenges
  • Support commercial with cost management, change control and forecasting
  • Attend and lead progress/site/client meetings
  • Ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards and contract requirements
  • Oversee testing, commissioning and handover
  • Maintain strong client and delivery-partner relationships

Key requirements

  • Proven experience delivering M&E packages on infrastructure or utilities projects
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical installation processes
  • Experience managing subcontractors and specialist supply chain partners
  • Experience in regulated sectors such as water, utilities or energy
  • Good understanding of NEC or similar construction contracts
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to manage programme, risk and delivery across complex projects
