Site Manager – Rail

Overview

In this role you will lead rail structures schemes and building works across NW/NE London, ensuring day-to-day site delivery and safety. You will coordinate paperwork, materials, equipment, labour and sub-contractors while implementing site management plans. A strong focus on Health & Safety and a solid buildings background will underpin successful project execution. You will guide site personnel and drive practical, on-site solutions to keep the contract on track. This is a hands-on leadership position with scope for progression in a rail-focused civil engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage rail structures schemes, including buildings and platform works
• Oversee paperwork, materials, equipment, labour and sub-contractors on site
• Prepare and implement site-specific management plans
• Maintain a strong emphasis on Health & Safety at all times
• Provide guidance and practical advice to site personnel for contract execution
• Ensure on-time, compliant delivery of works across sites in NW/NE London

Key requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Civil Engineering construction
• Competent Civil Engineering professional with buildings experience
• Strong people management skills
• Experience in managing site operations for rail structures projects
• Ability to prepare and implement site management plans
