Overview
In this role you will lead end-to-end research to uncover customer needs, experiences and pain points, informing design decisions and insight-led product development. You will work within the Barclays Insight and Experience Design team to translate findings into innovative, user-centered concepts. You will collaborate across Design, Product, Channel, Marketing, Transformation and Technology to embed insights throughout the innovation cycle. This role emphasizes risk-aware research and the delivery of high-quality, actionable intelligence that shapes customer experiences at scale.
Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end research programmes aligned with other analytics activities
- Collaborate with Design, Product, Channel, Marketing, Transformation and Technology to embed findings into the innovation cycle
- Develop and test prototypes, mock-ups or value propositions based on customer feedback
- Monitor emerging technologies and trends impacting customer landscape and strategy
- Utilise data analytics tools to extract insights from market research, surveys and feedback
- Manage risk related to the insight process, including data privacy considerations
- Oversee research programmes and team performance, aligning with departmental goals and efficiency
Key requirements
- Hands-on experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
- Strong analysis and triangulation of insights, combining AI automation with human judgement
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder influence across levels
- Research recruitment experience, particularly in B2B or hard-to-recruit industries
- Excellent communication, storytelling and presentation skills
- Attention to detail and openness to feedback
- Awareness of risk controls, change/transformation, and digital/tech contexts
- Self-starter capable of running research end-to-end
