Overview

As Project Manager, you will deliver and manage internal and customer development projects with a strong focus on bid management. You work closely with cross-functional teams to prepare, cost, and present bids and project models for approval. You will drive projects from sales handoff to delivery, monitoring time and budget against plans. This role offers impact through structured planning, risk recovery, and clear stakeholder communication in a fast-paced IT context.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Bid Manager for customer bids and help create a fully costed quotation and project model
  • Prepare and present quotation and bid documents with costed project models for senior management
  • Provide initial bid resource estimates to functional heads to enable low-level scheduling
  • Project manage allocated projects to meet time and budget expectations
  • Create a Project Plan with task breakdown, schedule, and budget
  • Coordinate with lines of business to ensure data accuracy in the Project Plan and ensure smooth Sales to Projects transition
  • Request internal and external resources as needed to complete project tasks
  • Measure progress against Plan, Schedule, and Budget and update as required
  • Obtain formal approval for any negative variance to revenue, profit, or schedule
  • Identify slippages and develop recovery strategies to meet planned events
  • Keep stakeholders informed of schedule changes and agree remedial actions
  • Assist the Financial Controller with financial instruments management and timely invoicing against milestones

Key requirements

  • Bid management experience or exposure to bid management
  • Strong attention to detail in delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling tool
  • Technical information gathering and analysis skills
  • Good ICT literacy and awareness of common hardware and software
  • Internet proficiency and cyber security awareness
